Crowdfunding
Crowdfunding is a new solution for financing corporate growth. Digital crowdfunding platforms bring together potential investors or lenders and companies that need funding. If you wish to obtain an operating licence for crowdfunding, please refer to Latvijas Banka.
What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new way of fundraising for companies: instead of a single lender, funding is usually made up of a large number of investors. Each may invest very small amounts, but all investors together can provide the company with the possibility of attracting substantial funding.
Who is entitled to offer crowdfunding services?
Crowdfunding services may be provided by a legal person who has obtained authorisation granted by Latvijas Banka.
