On 18 May, Dublin, Ireland, hosted the Global Government Fintech Lab 2023, bringing together FinTech professionals to share expertise and experiences regarding how governments worldwide are exploring FinTech.

Marine Krasovska, Head of the Financial Technology Supervision Department at Latvijas Banka, was one of the speakers in the opening panel discussion titled "How best should financial authorities explore FinTech solutions?"

Alongside other panelists Denise Delaney, Head of Policy and Risk Horizontal Function at the Central Bank of Ireland, and Barbara Voelkl, Policy Officer for Digital Financial Technologies at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Germany, Marine Krasovska participated in a discussion moderated by Siobhan Benita. They shared their valuable experiences regarding how financial authorities explore FinTech solutions and how they organize themselves to accommodate the growing FinTech sector.

Marine Krasovska specifically shared the experiences of the Latvian regulator, including the launch of support mechanisms for fintechs such as the Innovation Hub and Regulatory Sandbox. She also highlighted improvements in the licensing process and the promotion of an innovative environment within the organization.
